약국 테크니션 면접은 정확성, 안전, 팀워크, 고객 응대 네 가지를 봅니다. 화려한 답변보다 침착하고 구체적인 답변이 유리합니다.

자주 나오는 질문
1. Tell me about yourself.
자격증 → 경력 → 지원 동기 순으로 60~90초. 개인사는 넣지 않습니다.
“I’m a CPhT registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. I’ve spent the past year in a high-volume retail pharmacy processing around 250 prescriptions a day, and I’ve become the go-to person for insurance rejections on my shift. I’m looking to move into a hospital setting because I want to build sterile compounding skills.”
2. Why do you want to be a pharmacy technician?
“안정적이라서"보다 정확성이 요구되는 일에 잘 맞는다는 방향이 좋습니다.
3. What would you do if you found a dispensing error?
핵심 답: 즉시 약사에게 보고한다. 숨기거나 혼자 고치지 않습니다.
“I would stop, keep the product and the label together, and tell the pharmacist immediately. Then I’d help with whatever correction and documentation they need, including contacting the patient if the pharmacist asks. Reporting it also helps us find why it happened.”
4. How do you handle an angry customer?
경청 → 공감 → 사실 확인 → 해결 또는 약사 연결. 임상적 판단이 필요한 질문은 반드시 약사에게 넘긴다는 점을 명시하세요.
5. A patient asks which cold medicine is best for them. What do you do?
약사에게 연결한다. 테크니션은 상담·권유를 하지 않습니다. 이 질문은 경계 인식을 보는 함정 질문입니다.
6. How do you stay accurate when it’s busy?
바코드 스캔, 삼중 확인, NDC 대조, 한 번에 하나씩 처리 — 구체적인 습관을 말하세요.
7. Tell me about a time you worked in a team / handled pressure / made a mistake.
STAR로 준비하되, 실수 질문에는 인정 + 조치 + 재발 방지로 마무리하세요.
8. Where do you see yourself in 3 years?
“CSPT를 따서 IV 조제를 맡고 싶다”, “인포매틱스 쪽을 보고 있다” 같은 직무 내 성장이 좋은 답입니다.
면접 중 확인할 것 (역질문)
면접 끝에 “질문 있으세요?“에 “없습니다"는 감점입니다. 두세 개 준비하세요.
- What does a typical shift look like on this team?
- How is training structured for someone new to this setting?
- Do you support technicians pursuing advanced certifications like CSPT?
- What does success look like in the first 90 days?
실무 테스트
일부 고용주는 간단한 계산 시험이나 약물명 매칭을 봅니다. 약국 계산의 기본 유형(비례식, day supply, %)은 손으로 풀 수 있게 준비하세요.
영어가 부담될 때
- 답변을 통째로 외우지 말고 핵심 단어 3개만 정해두고 문장은 그때 만드세요. 외운 문장은 후속 질문에서 무너집니다
- 못 알아들었을 때: “Could you repeat that, please?” — 되묻는 것은 감점이 아닙니다. 약국에서는 오히려 안전한 습관입니다
- 발음보다 숫자와 약물명의 정확성이 중요합니다. 규격·수량을 또박또박 말하는 연습을 하세요
복장·태도
- 비즈니스 캐주얼 이상. 병원 면접은 더 갖춰 입기
- 10분 일찍 도착
- 자격증·등록증 사본, 이력서 인쇄본 지참
- 면접 후 24시간 내 감사 이메일 — 짧아도 보내는 사람이 소수라 확실히 남습니다
